Here you will find the most important hints about which account data are processed in the current setup phase.
Which data we currently store
In order for MagicSchoolyard to work, we store your account data, security data and the consents you have given when registering and logging in.
Account details such as email address, nickname, display name, language, country and selected information in the profile.
Login and security data such as login times, session information, device tracks, IP-related security values and cookie decisions.
Consent and legal confirmations, for example on terms of use, data protection and optional cookies.
Moderation, support or safety data as soon as a notification, review or protection measure becomes necessary.
We use this data for access, account security, protection against abuse, later community functions and the secure operation of the site.
A binding contact address for data protection requests is added together with the final operator details in the imprint.
Optional Discord connection
If you connect Discord to your game account, we receive your Discord ID and display name. We store the ID to identify the connected account securely. We use Discord access tokens only during sign-in or connection and do not store them permanently. You can disconnect your account at any time.
On our Discord server, messages flagged for safety or selected by moderators are assessed by a locally operated AI model and stored in a private case archive. In that archive, original text and translations are removed after 30 days and remaining case metadata after 180 days. Alerts in the private Discord moderator channel may remain visible there longer. For connected accounts, the Discord ID can be matched to a game account. AI reports alone do not change ranks or trigger penalties; moderators decide those actions.
